TIMOTHY DALTON ASFGLHD!!!!!

I wonder if this is a /deliberate/ reference to Simm!Master's "final" scene, which so eloquently echoed the ending of Dalton's last epic sci-fi masterpiece, Flash Gordon?

Hot damn, Dalton looks so much sexier with the bits of grey and sans tache. I totally would. Om nom nom.

One remembers Jon Culshaw helpfully suggesting that the Beeb go for Timothy Dalton as the Ninth Doctor in SFX before they cast Christopher Eccelston - he is obvisouly not the Doctor but hey Timelord that is close. I think he would make quite a good Doctor if he played in a similar vein to his performance as Lord Asriel in the National's first production of His Dark Materials (which was pretty fab!)

One assumes then that the Doctor is not alone anymore then and Gallifrey or its inhabitiants have been hiding; a shame I rather liked the whole last of his people thing even if he had to bang on about it so much.

Argh, you know it's bad when you see Flash Gordon and you instantly think of Brian Blessed!
