Might we have a use for this:

...at some point? I have been going through my scrapbook on LJ and found it. I recall getting permission from Lee Sullivan to make it, as long as he is credited and linked to. Obviously it needs the DW comm icon rather than the LJ one, but apart from that...?

I like this. Header images should be like this—clearly showing what the comm is about without getting too distracted by anything else.

Of course, to use it we'd need to use a hacked version of Zesty—given free comms can have a layer now, that's not an issue, want me to sort it out?

Question: how wedded are you to this existing layout? I personally really like it, but it's incredibly inflexible.

If, OTOH, we switched to Transmogrified or simply base Core2, then I can do loads to the appearance incredibly easily without any real hacking—and it'll be a simple copy/paste job for you.

As long as it's functional and readable, I don't mind changes. I'm quite attached to back text/white backgrounds, though, as anything else seems to give me eyestrain these days.

You'd have to ask [personal profile] lizbee about that; she's the admin.

I would be totally happy to incorporate it into the comm design, provided DW's style customisation options come with detailed instructions for the simple-minded.

They don't. Yet. I've been drafted to help write them.

So...

If I sort the code out, then write down what you have to do, if you can't do it the instructions aren't good enough, right? Do you want this basic colour scheme/layout, or something else? I like Zesty, but I prefer non-white backgrounds, for example.

Looked remarkably like the forth in from the left?

Isn't that william hartnell ? The one next to him is Peter Cushing, from the films (?)

4th in from the left is One. One has been played by a number of actors, stunt doubles, lookalikes and similar but is best known as being played by Hartnell.

I see a header graphic showing all the different Doctors. I care not which actor portrayed the Doctor in any given episode, film or spin off.

Wow, I've never seen that before. It's seriously gorgeous.

..Heee, was the Eighth really that short? And the Sixth that tall? *grins*

I think Lee did some actual research before drawing it, yes.

That's surely so; it's just surprising. The Eighth seemed so much taller onscreen... maybe it's the way he carried himself, or the camera angles, or something.

Oh, that's marvellous. :D ...Though I can't help but think Four should be taller.

*pedantic mode, feel free to tl;dr...*

I did one of these myself a while ago (not nearly as nice-- I tried to edit photos, and it's surprisingly hard to find full body shots of most of them), and I actually don't think his is quite correct there. My research (mostly celebheights.com) says that both 3 and 4 are/were 6'3", where REG was 6'2", 9 is 6'1.5", and 5 & 10 are 6'1"-- so assuming the others are correct, they are too short. 5 should be an inch taller than 6, but I think it could be on account of the hair.

But McGann is totally a shorty. XD

I have been looking everywhere for an image like that for so long, for fanfic and Simming purposes. And on my first day on DW...

Thanks.
