"Your Doctor" is the one that you were first exposed to, the one that first formed your idea of who the Doctor "is". They may or may not remain your favorite as you meet others, but they hold a special place as the One that Started it All for you.

Your name is familiar - I've seen some of your fic at the 'spoon, will have to go take a look again.

The meaning of "your Doctor" seems to vary depending on who refers to it, actually. Personally, I don't see it at all as being the same as the first Doctor you were exposed to, otherwise I would have said Five. However, I agree that it's the one that forms your idea of who the Doctor is, and for me that only happened when I did research on the Doctors that came before, having just discovered the show and becoming intrigued with its concept, and both Two and Three gave me the general idea of who that chap with the celery was supposed to be like.

Which are not necessarily the same thing. The first Doctor I saw in action was Four... which caused an interesting fit of OMWTBBQ MARSH-WIGGLE ?? when I realized where I'd seen him before! ;-)
