Nope. Well, anyway, it was a thing back then: fans all recorded off TV because you never knew when, if ever, it would rerun again. And then we'd have parties and share tapes. Which were all mixed up with Blake's 7, Red Dwarf, Star Trek:TNG and whatever else was on back then. :)

ETA: I should note that 26 years of Doctor Who wasn't actually all of Doctor Who; PBS only showed serials which had no missing episodes. That meant skipping a lot of Hartnells and Troughtons. Some have been found since then.

I didn't see Sara Kingdom, Katarina or Victoria until two years ago, although I knew about them from the Haining books.
